On December 5, 2017, the U.S. Supreme Court will hear Masterpiece Cakeshop v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission, a case which centers on whether religious beliefs give business owners a right to discriminate against LGBTQ people. Nearly 1,300 faith leaders joined an amicus brief to the Court, arguing that their faith calls them to support of justice, dignity, and equal treatment for LGBTQ people and saying that religious beliefs do not grant anyone a right to discriminate. Now, on the weekend before oral arguments (December 1-3, 2017), faith communities from across the country are joining together to pray for LGBTQ justice—that we might live in a world where all people are free from injustice, violence, and discrimination.
