Webinar Takes on Sexual Assault and Harassment in Graduate Theological Schools

The #MeToo and #TimesUp movements have reawakened many in our society to the longstanding realities of sexual assault and harassment. Institutions of every kind are reckoning with the abuse and misconduct perpetuated within their walls. Seminaries, divinity, and rabbinical schools have and must continue to engage in these difficult conversations. Our guest will be Rev. TiShaunda McPherson, a civil rights attorney, seminary graduate, and elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church. Rev. McPherson’s legal career has focused on providing voice to those silenced by discrimination and harassment, with a particular emphasis on educational and employment settings. In this webinar, she will address the climate of sexual assault and harassment within the context of graduate theological education. Participants will learn about policies that address sexual assault and harassment and resources available for those who have suffered sexual assault or harassment.
