Today we affirm that health and wholeness are religious values.
We affirm the sacred value of caring for our bodies and minds.
Our faith teaches us to care for those in need, consider the welfare of all people, and side with those who are poor, marginalized, and vulnerable.
We call for a religious and moral commitment to access to comprehensive affordable healthcare for all people.
We will not allow injustice to have the last word in the lives of the most vulnerable in our society, especially women of color, low-income people, and trans women of color.
We recognize and affirm the value of every person, regardless of socioeconomic status.
It is unjust and immoral to deny healthcare to people for any reason.
Our faith requires that we act for justice. We commit ourselves to do all that we can to ensure that all people may flourish and thrive.
