Muslim Prayer

In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful, the One who created us as a diverse people in diverse communities. You teach us that diversity is a blessing and invite us to come to know one another. Help us to embody your teachings in our lives and our community. Guide and strengthen us as we seek to answer your call to resist all forms of injustice. We pray today for true justice, for a society where all people are free, and for communities that value the dignity and worth of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer people. We also pray for our friends and neighbors harmed by discrimination and lament the fact that most LGBTQ people live in states without nondiscrimination protections. As we move forward from the Court’s decision, guide our community toward an enduring justice. Grant us the courage to reach out to those who have been harmed by religion. Bless us as we seek to live in a world where people are free from injustice, violence, and discrimination.
