In response to the recent online trend in viral campaigning, friend of the Religious Institute Rabbi David Levy issued himself an 18 day challenge under the hashtag #TzedakahStraightUpNoIce as an alternative to the ALS ice bucket challenge. Rabbi Levy plans to choose one organization a day to raise awareness about their issue and to encourage people to help fund their work.
On his eighth day of the challenge, to commemorate the first day of Elul and to intersect with Rabbi Phyllis Sommer’s #BlogElul challenge, Rabbi Levy called people to donate to the Religious Institute.
Thank you Rabbi Levy for your support!
