Episode 1 of the Faithful Voices Podcast: “Ministry with LGBTQIA Youth”

We’re excited to introduce Faithful Voices, the Religious Institute’s new podcast where we engage in deep and thoughtful conversation around religion, gender, sexuality, and reproductive justice. Faithful Voices is now available on iTunesSoundCloudStitcher, Google Play, and TuneIn.

In our inaugural episode, Drew Konow, our Director of Communications and LGBTQ Programs, spoke with Rev. Dr. Cody Sanders about ministry with LGBTQIA youth. Rev. Dr. Cody Sanders is a pastoral theologian and the pastor of Old Cambridge Baptist Church in Harvard Square where he also serves as the American Baptist Chaplain to Harvard University.

Much of our conversation grew out of Sanders’ new book A Brief Guide to Ministry with LGBTQIA Youth. In just over 90 pages, this book offers youth ministers and youth ministry volunteers practical advice, best practices, and guiding principles for ministry with LGTBQIA youth. A full transcript of the conversation is available here.
