Sexuality Issues for Religious Professionals is an online, self-guided graduate-level course. The course covers such sexuality-related topics as understanding one’s personal values and history, components of sexual identity, sexual development, life behaviors of a sexually healthy adult, dealing with attraction and boundaries, pastoral care, safe congregation policies, sexuality education, and worship in the context of ministry.

The course was developed for Unitarian Universalist religious professionals, although the majority of the course would be of great benefit to any religious professional who would like to become more sexually healthy and responsible. This course partially fulfills the sexuality education, health, and justice competency for UU candidates for ministry and meets the requirement for a sexual harassment prevention/boundaries learning experience. It is entirely self-directed and takes an average of 15 to 20 hours to complete.
